Well, it's time to bid farewell to the Woman Challenge, which ends today. I haven't excercised every single day, but I've made the best effort I could. I found that I could usually squeeze in 15 minutes.
The question now is how much of an effort I'll make to keep exercising once the challenge is over.
I want to thank everyone who participated. I know that it's hard for many of us to find the time to get out and moving, and I congratulate all you for trying!
To close, here are some photos of some of the walks you've been going on as part of the challenge.
To the left are Betsy and her son Ryan, on a hike in Pennsylvania to a beautiful hilltop lake shown at right. Betsy says, "My son Ryan, now 10 months old, and I take walks in the woods up to this hilltop lake which is just so beautiful it takes your breath away. I did this 3 mile hike up until the week I delivered, and as soon as I was cleared and able to hike again after he was delivered. For hikes, at first I carried him in a Mayawrap, then a Baby Bjorn, and now a backpack carrier or Mei Tai carrier...even in a sled in Feb on a different river trail. We walk everyday no matter where we are and what the weather."
On the lower left is a from Sara in Maryland, and shows a stream she passes on her walks. Sara writes, "Here are a couple views from our walks. You'll notice from the first one (not shown) that the park is directly across the street from our house...so we have very little excuse for not getting out!"
The one to the lower right, showing a garden gnome on her route, is from Sarah in Massachusetts. She says, "Never hire a gnome to do any work. They may look like they are always working, and they're always happy and smiling, but we've been waiting for this wall to be finished since the fall!"
Thanks again to everyone who participated!
