World Breastfeeding Week photo contest, events, and a site to fund your breastfeeding project.
In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, Amy at Musings of a Crunchy Domestic Goddess is holding a photo contest. She's offering some great prizes, including a "Lactivist" t-shirt and a "My honor student was breastfed" bumper sticker! You can find more information on the contest here.
Amy is pictured here at the Mile High Breastfeeding Celebration in Colorado. This event didn't break the national record for moms nursing in one place, but it sounds like it was a great celebration of breastfeeding.
Michelle in Florida emailed about the Northwest Tampa La Leche League's plans to hold a celebration of breastfeeding on August 7th at A Play Patch, 3-5 pm. It's one of many events planned for World Breastfeeding Week which you'll find listed on the La Leche League website.
Finally, I recently learned of a great website called latchon.org. It's a funding marketplace for breastfeeding projects. You can post a project and see if it gets funded, or you can pick a project to fund. Micky at Mocha Milk recently posted a video project and it was quickly funded!

I had hubby take a pic of me nursing Gray at the fireworks show last night! I'll have to send that one to Amy!
