Alternative uses for your nursing stool.
A while back Angela posted a great list of uses for leftover lanolin creme.

I loved it, and thought I'd do a post on how we use our old nursing stool now that it's out of commission.
Our nursing stool is a pretty popular item in our house. It's used as:
- A footrest used while working on the computer.
- A ramp for shooting cars through a poster tube.
- A stool for helping the height-challenged member of our house turn on the lights.
I also recently saw it used as a footrest for a model at a Motherwear photo shoot!

I never had the "regular" nursing stool like this one - my husband bought me a step-stool from the store near us that sold unfinished furniture, thinking that I could paint it to match the dresser I'd painted for the baby's room.
It never got painted, although it does have lots of paint speckles on it from being used to paint walls in various houses. It has also been used as a step-stool in the bathroom for Maeve until she was able to reach the faucet by herself and spit into the sink when she brushed (rather than onto the counter top), a place for Maeve to sit while I braided her hair (aka the Hairdo Throne), and more recently as a pretend school desk for dolls.

Angela didn't put this on the list but lanolin is perfect for a sore nose when you have a cold and have used a lot of tissues.

My daughter, Julia, uses our nursing stool as a (very uncomfortable) pillow when she lays down and looks at books in her room.

My nursing stool sits right next to the glider in my now 2 year old's bedroom. She sits on "my stool" every night for storytime before bed. It's just her size and she isn't bothered by the slight angle at all.
