What would you do if you saw a five foot breast with a light up nipple atop a converted ice cream truck come barreling down the street?
If you live in Pittburgh, you might get the chance to find out.
Jill Miller, an art instructor at Carnegie Mellon University, created this truck as a mobile nursing station after noticing that attitudes toward breastfeeding weren't as friendly in Pittsburgh as in her prior home of San Francisco. She funded the project primarily through Kickstarter.
According to TIME, The Pittsburgh City Council recently passed a declaration establishing September 13th as "Milk Truck Day."
You can track the location of the truck on its website and Facebook page. And it's possible that the truck will go on the road to other cities.
Here's a quote from the FAQ section of The Milk Truck website which I think you'll like.
Q: Are you concerned that you may offend people with that obnoxious boob on the top of the truck?
A: I'm concerned that we offend hungry babies every day by not letting them eat when they need to.
